A building owner signs a lift contract once and then lives with the result for decades. The cabin, the door sensors, the rescue system and the technician who answers the phone late at night all come from that single decision. Carrymax Lifts is a lift company in India that manufactures, installs, modernizes and maintains lifts for homes, offices, hospitals, factories and commercial buildings, all under one brand and one point of accountability.

This page explains what we build, how our safety features work and how to compare lift vendors before you sign. If you are still shortlisting the wider market, our guides to elevator manufacturers in India and the top 10 elevator companies in India give you a side-by-side view first.

About Carrymax Lifts: A Lift Company That Started on the Installation Floor

Carrymax Lifts began as an erection and commissioning contractor for established names in the elevator industry. That early work meant fitting other manufacturers’ lifts into real shafts, fixing real faults and learning where installations go wrong. When the team set out on its own, it placed every product and marketing effort under a single brand, CARRYMAX, so customers would know exactly who stands behind the lift.

Today we run our own manufacturing facility in the IMT industrial area of Faridabad, Haryana. From there we make and supply passenger lifts, hospital lifts, hydraulic lifts, goods lifts and dumbwaiters for commercial, industrial and residential premises. We also install, modernize and maintain lifts, so one company handles the lift from the factory floor to the annual service visit.

Our products are built from high-grade material, and the facility is equipped with up-to-date manufacturing and technology infrastructure to keep the equipment we install reliable.

Why Building Owners Look for a Branded Lift Company in India

The word “branded” gets stretched in this market. Some companies assemble parts bought from several suppliers and install them under a name that disappears after handover. A branded lift company in India, in the sense that matters to an owner, is one that makes or controls the product, puts its name on it and stays reachable when something needs attention.

Lift vendors in India fall into three rough groups: multinational brands with large sales networks, regional manufacturers with their own factories, and traders who resell and subcontract. Each group can serve a project well, but the questions you ask them are different.

Regional manufacturers such as Carrymax Lifts suit buildings that need customization: an unusual shaft size, a shallow pit, a hospital stretcher requirement or a retrofit in an older building. Because the lift is made in our own facility, design changes are discussed with the people who build it, not relayed through a chain of sales intermediaries.

The same logic applies to service. When the manufacturer, installer and maintenance team are one company, a fault in the lift has one owner. Ask any vendor to show who will attend a breakdown call and in which city that person is based. To see how manufacturers across the country compare, visit our page on lifts manufacturers in India.

Lifts and Elevators We Manufacture and Install

The lift elevator India market covers everything from a small home lift to a stretcher lift in a multi-storey hospital. Our range is built around the building types we are asked about most. The specifications below are typical configurations; capacity, speed, travel height and finish are confirmed after a site survey.

Passenger lift: for offices, apartments and commercial buildings. 8, 12 and 16 person models; stainless steel or automatic glass door cabins; up to 20 m travel on listed models.

Residential lift: for villas, duplexes and independent floors. 6 person model up to 15 m; automatic door model up to 13 persons and 20 m.

Hospital and stretcher lift: for hospitals, nursing homes and clinics. 1,200 kg rated hospital elevator in stainless steel and glass; stretcher lifts.

Hydraulic building lift: for low and mid-rise buildings and retrofits. Hydraulic building lift; hydraulic goods lift.

Freight and goods lift: for factories, warehouses and workshops. 500 kg freight model with 6 m lifting height; 250 kg hydraulic goods model.

Dumbwaiter lift: for kitchens, restaurants, libraries and homes. 50 kg capacity, 10 m travel, vertical bi-parting door on the listed model.

MRL and capsule lift: for buildings without space for a machine room, and for lobbies and atriums. Discussed per site.

Car lift: for parking floors and showrooms. Car lift service on request.

Gearless and geared machines: for new lifts and modernization. Gearless machine rated 320 kg at 1.0 m/s with 2:1 roping; geared machines.

Passenger lifts for offices and apartments

Passenger lifts are the core of our range. The 8, 12 and 16 person models cover everything from a small apartment block to an office floor with heavy morning traffic, and the automatic glass door model suits entrance lobbies where appearance matters. If you are comparing passenger lift manufacturers, ask each one for door type, rated speed, travel height and the safety devices included in the quoted price.

Residential and home lifts

A home lift has to fit a shaft that the architect rarely planned for it. We build residential lifts in a 6 person size and larger automatic-door configurations with stainless steel finishes, and we work with the shaft you have instead of forcing a standard size. Decide early whether every floor needs a stop and whether the lift must keep working during a power cut. Our Automatic Rescue Device covers the second point.

Hospital and stretcher lifts

Hospital lifts carry beds, trolleys and equipment as well as people, so the cabin is deeper and the ride has to be smoother. Our hospital elevator is rated at 1,200 kg and is built with stainless steel and glass, materials that suit hospital cleaning routines. Stretcher lifts are available for facilities that need a dedicated bed and trolley line. Door timing and floor levelling matter more here than in any other building type.

Hydraulic and building lifts

As a building lift company, we supply hydraulic lifts for low and mid-rise buildings. A hydraulic drive keeps the machinery near pit level, which avoids an overhead machine room and can reduce the load carried by the roof structure. Hydraulic lifts therefore suit retrofits where a conventional machine room is not possible. Their speed and travel height are lower than those of traction lifts, so they fit best where the building is not tall.

Goods, freight and dumbwaiter lifts

A listed freight model in our range carries 500 kg over a 6 m lift, and our hydraulic goods lift starts at 250 kg for lighter loads. Capacities beyond these listed models can be discussed with our team. Dumbwaiter lifts move small loads such as food, files or stock between floors, with a vertical bi-parting door and up to 10 m of travel on the listed model. Specify the heaviest single item you will carry, not the average load.

MRL, capsule and car lifts

Machine-room-less lifts remove the separate machine room above the shaft, which frees roof space and can lower construction cost. Capsule lifts add a panoramic cabin for malls, showrooms and atriums, and our car lift service covers vehicle movement in parking and showroom settings. Tell us your structure and we will say which of these fits.

Gearless and geared machines

For owners replacing an old drive or building a new lift, we supply gearless and geared traction machines. The listed gearless machine is rated at 320 kg with a speed of 1.0 m/s and 2:1 roping. Gearless drives are generally quieter and smoother, while geared machines are a practical choice for lower-speed, lower-rise applications.

Lift Installation, Modernization and Maintenance Services

New lift installation

Installation is where our start as an erection and commissioning contractor shows. The work covers shaft checks, guide rail alignment, machine and controller fitting, wiring, cabin and door installation, and load and safety tests before handover. In Haryana, the Haryana Lifts and Escalators Act, 2008 regulates the construction, installation, maintenance and safe working of lifts, and lifts are subject to inspection and registration under the Act and its rules. Other states have their own lift acts, so ask any vendor how they handle inspection paperwork where your building stands.

Lift modernization

Older lifts rarely need to be torn out. Replacing the controller, door operators, machine or cabin interior often restores reliability and ride quality while the guide rails and shaft stay in place. Indian Standard IS 17386:2020 deals specifically with replacing existing passenger and goods lifts in existing buildings, which is the situation most modernization projects face. We assess the condition of your equipment first and recommend what to replace and what can stay.

Annual maintenance contracts

A lift that is serviced on schedule fails less often and fails more safely. Our maintenance plans cover periodic inspection, lubrication, adjustment and replacement of worn parts, with scope, visit frequency and response arrangements agreed in writing. Under the Haryana Act, owners also submit a copy of their annual maintenance contract to the Inspector each year, so a written contract is a compliance document as well as a service plan.

Safety Features Built Into Our Lifts

Carrymax lists the following as standard safety features across its lifts:

Automatic Rescue Device (ARD): during a power failure it moves the car to the nearest landing and opens the door, so passengers are not left waiting for a manual rescue.
Infrared full-length door sensors detect a person or object in the path of the closing doors and reopen them.
Door interlocking keeps the car from moving unless the doors are closed and locked.
The overspeed governor detects excess speed and triggers the mechanism that stops the car.
The emergency alarm lets trapped passengers call for help.
The emergency stop switch lets a passenger halt the car inside the cabin.
The fireman switch gives fire services control of the lift during a fire emergency.
The final limit switch stops the car if it travels beyond the top or bottom landing.
DBG mechanical safety is included in the standard package as an additional mechanical safeguard.

Our lifts are built to the relevant industrial norms. When you compare quotes, confirm in writing which safety devices are included, because optional extras can change the real price of a lift.

How to Choose Between Lift Vendors: A Seven-Point Checklist

Price alone misleads, because two quotes often describe different lifts. Use these seven checks with every vendor, including us.

  1. Ask who manufactures the lift, and request a visit to the factory or to a reference installation.
  2. Get the specification in writing: capacity in kg and persons, speed, travel height, number of stops, door type, drive and controller.
  3. Confirm the safety devices included, such as the rescue device, door sensors, interlocks, governor and fireman switch.
  4. Ask which standards the lift is built and tested to, for example the IS 14665 series for electric traction lifts and IS 14671 for hydraulic lifts, and how inspection and registration will be handled in your state.
  5. Find out where the service team is based and who attends a breakdown call.
  6. Compare the maintenance contract: scope, visit frequency, parts covered, response arrangements and renewal terms.
  7. Request references from buildings of your type, then call one of them.

A building lift company that welcomes these questions is usually one worth shortlisting. If you want a market overview before you request quotes, our guide to the top 10 elevator companies in India helps you build a shortlist.

Buildings and Industries We Serve

We supply and service lifts for:

Residential villas, apartments, duplexes and independent floors
Offices, showrooms and commercial complexes
Hospitals, nursing homes and clinics
Factories, warehouses and workshops that move goods between floors
Restaurants, kitchens, libraries and institutions that need small-load dumbwaiter lifts

Serving Delhi NCR and Projects Across India

Our factory and office are in Faridabad, Haryana, which places us inside the Delhi NCR region. We take on projects across India, and the practical limit is service coverage rather than delivery. Before you order from outside NCR, we discuss who will handle installation supervision and maintenance in your city, so you are not left with a lift and nobody nearby to service it.

How a Carrymax Project Works

  1. Site survey: we collect shaft dimensions, pit depth, overhead height, floors served and expected traffic.
  2. Specification and quotation: you receive a written specification you can compare line by line with other vendors.
  3. Manufacturing: the lift is built in our Faridabad facility to the agreed specification.
  4. Installation and testing: our team installs the lift, then tests the load and the safety devices.
  5. Inspection and handover: the lift is presented for inspection under your state’s lift rules and handed over with the operating details.
  6. Maintenance: a written maintenance contract keeps the lift on a regular service schedule.

Choosing a Lift Company in India You Can Still Reach After Handover

Choosing a lift company in India is a decision about the next twenty years of a building, not the next delivery date. A vendor that manufactures the lift, installs it and services it gives you a single name to hold accountable. That is the position Carrymax Lifts built from its first years as an installation contractor, and it is why we publish our safety features and specifications before you ask for them.

If that approach matches what your building needs, send us your requirements. We will respond with a recommendation, not a brochure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Start with who manufactures the lift, then compare written specifications, included safety devices, the standards followed, the maintenance contract and the location of the service team. Ask for references from buildings of your type. The seven-point checklist on this page lists each question to put to every vendor, including us.
We manufacture passenger lifts, residential and home lifts, hospital and stretcher lifts, hydraulic lifts, freight and goods lifts, and dumbwaiter lifts. We also supply gearless and geared machines, and we can discuss machine-room-less lifts, capsule lifts and car lifts for suitable buildings.
Yes. We manufacture, install, modernize and maintain lifts, so the same company is responsible from the factory to the annual service visit. Maintenance scope, visit frequency and response arrangements are agreed in writing.
A manufacturer makes the lift or controls its production and stands behind the product. A vendor may simply resell the lift and subcontract the installation. Both can deliver good work, but with a manufacturer one company is answerable for the equipment, the installation and the service.
It depends on the shaft, pit depth, overhead height and number of floors. Hydraulic lifts and machine-room-less lifts are common choices for homes and low-rise buildings. Share your drawings or site photographs and our engineers will recommend a type after a site survey.
Often, yes. Replacing the controller, door operators, machine or cabin interior can restore reliability and ride quality while the shaft and guide rails stay in place. We assess the existing equipment first and recommend which parts to replace.
Our standard package includes an Automatic Rescue Device, infrared full-length door sensors, door interlocking, an overspeed governor, an emergency alarm, an emergency stop switch, a fireman switch, DBG mechanical safety and a final limit switch.
Our manufacturing facility and office are in Faridabad, Haryana, within the Delhi NCR region. We take on projects across India and discuss installation and maintenance coverage for your city before you order.
Send the number of floors and stops, total travel height, shaft width and depth, pit depth, overhead height, required capacity in kg or persons, and the type of building. Drawings or photographs of the shaft speed up the process.
